With more than 15,000 votes received, Morgan volleyball’s Jaiden Farr pulled away over the last three days of the poll, winning our Week 9 Preps Utah 2015-2016 player of the week poll honor. The lead went back and forth as three players vied for the lead over the first part of the week, but as the weekend arrived, Farr was the clear winner for the week of Nov. 16.
Farr claimed just over 60 percent of those 15,000 + votes, as Delta’s Sidney Springer (18 percent) and Rachel Richards of Lehi (16 percent) battled it out for second place. Bountiful’s Brittnie Rathmann and Chesney Campbell of Panguitch split the remaining votes.
Farr was the kills leader for the undefeated 3A state champion Trojans, and she shared the team lead with 12 kills in Morgan’s three-set sweep of Snow Canyon in the state title game. The Trojans reversed the result of the 2014 state tournament, winning this time around to close out a season in which they looked all year long like the overall best team in the state.
