Yetter received the support of just over 40 percent out of a total of just over 200 votes, as Herriman’s Kaysha Love finished second at 23 percent. Jaslyn Gardner of Enterprise, Logan’s Maia Garren and Whitney Rich from Bingham split the remaining votes.
As of this week, Yetter is among the top five athletes in the state in four different track and field events – the 100-meter hurdles, high jump, long jump and javelin. She will be one of the athletes to watch as the state championships that are less than three weeks away.
