Anython, a unique company helping teams and groups raise money to run their programs, is the sponsor of this award. The company will present to each weekly winner a certificate and a coach of the week water bottle and will provide the teams at the winners’ schools a special offer to utilize the fundraising services it provides.
Our Week 3 2017 girls team coach of the week is Rob McDaniel of the Bonneville High girls soccer team. McDaniel has the Lakers off to a 6-0 star in Region 11 play and they are 8-1-1 overall in a Class 4A league that in highly competitive at the top.
After Lane Barker coached the 2010 state championship, McDaniel was next in line for the Lakers and he has coached highly successful teams in his seven years on campus. A state title in 2012 was the launching point, and then after a few years without region championships, the 2016 Lakers gave McDaniel his third league title as they took Region 5.
Now, after reclassification placed Bonneville in 4A, in a tough Region 11 with teams that include Park City and Ogden, the Lakers are poised to make a run at the 4A state championship.
Due to the accomplishments of his team so far this season, Bonneville girls soccer head coach Rob McDaniel is the Week 3 selection for our girls team Anython Coach of the Week honor.
