Anython Coach of the Week

Anython boys team coach of Week 6 – John Colosimo, JDCHS football

PrepsUtah.com has joined forces with Anython to announce this year’s coach of the week honorees. Each week during this school year, we select a boys team and a girls team coach who represents the best the state has to offer in coaching excellence.

Anython, a unique company helping teams and groups raise money to run their programs, is the sponsor of this award. The company will present to each weekly winner a certificate and a coach of the week water bottle and will provide the teams at the winners’ schools a special offer to utilize the fundraising services it provides.

Our Week 6 2017-2018 boys team coach of the week is John Colosimo of the Juan Diego Catholic High football team. Colosimo now has 171 career coaching wins, and he is seeking a state-record tying eighth state title, having previous championship seasons in 2002, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2015 and 2016.

Juan Diego had a big win this week, knocking off a talented Juab team 33-28 to move its record to 7-1. Another huge game is coming this week as the Soaring Eagle take on Summit Academy for regional supremacy.

An amazing career record and strong start to this campaign earned Coach Colosimo our honors for the week of Oct. 9, 2017, the Week 6 selection for our boys team Anython Coach of the Week honor.

Nominate a deserving coach for one of our weekly honors by sending an email with the name, school and sport of the coach and the reason we should honor him or her to kurt@prepsutah.com.
